How to Get To Syros
Flights
Syros has a national airport that offers direct flights to and from Athens International Airport. There are no direct flights to Syros from other airports in Greece or abroad. The airport is conveniently located just 3 kilometres from Ermoupoli, and travellers can reach the town easily by taxi or private transportation.
Ferry Travel
Syros is accessible from several ports throughout Greece, with conventional and high-speed ferries servicing the island. Travellers from Athens can catch a ferry to Syros from either Piraeus or Lavrio, with more frequent departures available from Piraeus. The island is also connected by ferry to Kavala, a coastal town in northern Greece, and Karystos, a seaside city in Evia.
