The Location

Set on St. Martin’s northern coastline in the exclusive area of Terres Basses, Villa Amethyst enjoys a privileged and secluded location surrounded by lush tropical landscapes. Despite its sense of privacy, the villa is just a short 10-minute drive from both Marigot, the island’s French capital filled with shops, cafés, and markets, and the upscale area of Cupecoy, known for its restaurants and nightlife. One of St. Martin’s most beautiful beaches, Baie Rouge, lies just an easy 8-minute walk or a quick drive away. The setting captures the essence of Caribbean living—peaceful, scenic, and perfectly positioned between land and sea.

The Bedrooms

Villa Amethyst features five beautifully designed bedrooms, each named after a healing crystal to reflect the villa’s serene and restorative energy. The bedrooms are located in a separate building built into the hillside, spread across three levels for maximum privacy. On the ground floor are “Selenite” and “Citrine,” both offering king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms. Stone steps lead up to the ocean-view balcony and two upper-level rooms, “Howlite” and “Carnelian.” “Howlite” features a cozy seating area, a large window framing the sea, and a private balcony with a spacious daybed overlooking the ocean and pool terrace. “Citrine” also includes its own private terrace with a stunning view. The fifth bedroom, “Rose Quartz,” is located below the main living area in the main building, featuring its own private deck that can be accessed from both the pool terrace and the entrance driveway. Each bedroom includes plush bedding, en-suite bathrooms, his and her robes, and a complimentary beach bag for seaside adventures.

Indoors

The villa’s interiors are bright, inviting, and designed to enhance the spectacular natural surroundings. From the arched courtyard entry, guests step into a living space where the ocean view immediately commands attention. The centerpiece of the room is a magnificent pair of six-foot-tall amethyst wings that give the villa its name. These stunning crystals emit a soft lilac glow that fills the room, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere. The décor throughout is intentionally understated, with neutral tones and organic textures that complement the beauty of the space.

The light-filled living room includes a comfortable TV area on one side and wide wooden shuttered doors that open directly onto the terrace. The brand-new galley kitchen, located to the left of the living room, features sleek white cabinetry, Neff appliances, and a bright breakfast nook with ocean views. At the opposite end, a stylish bar area with a wine cooler and ice machine opens to the terrace, creating an easy indoor-outdoor flow for entertaining.

Outdoors

Villa Amethyst’s outdoor living areas are designed to take full advantage of its cliffside setting. The covered terrace offers a comfortable lounge area and a large dining table that seats ten, perfect for alfresco meals against the backdrop of the sea. A large gas grill makes outdoor cooking effortless. From here, the terrace steps down to a free-form swimming pool surrounded by plush loungers and daybeds, ideal for relaxing in the sun. A lower-level terrace offers additional space for sunbathing or quiet reading, while the east-facing side of the terrace overlooks the scenic Simpson Bay Lagoon—an ideal spot for enjoying sunrise views. For casual recreation, a Cornhole game set is available on the terrace.
