The Design

Created by celebrated architect Robertson “Happy” Ward, known for his work on the iconic La Samanna Hotel, Villa Beaulieu is a showcase of timeless mid-century Caribbean architecture. The design reflects Ward’s belief that architecture should enhance social connection and harmony with nature. The villa’s layout and materials were chosen to create a sense of openness, calm, and understated sophistication. Its flowing spaces, natural light, and organic finishes make every corner feel warm, inviting, and effortlessly elegant.

Indoors

Inside, the villa captures the essence of indoor-outdoor Caribbean living. A spacious double living room opens to a formal dining area framed by graceful arches, while large doors and windows bring in sea breezes and sunlight throughout the day. The fully equipped kitchen, featuring granite countertops and a wide pass-through window, connects to the terrace and outdoor dining areas, making entertaining easy and enjoyable. The decor is minimalist yet comfortable, emphasising the villa’s connection to its surroundings and allowing the view to take centre stage.

Bedrooms

Villa Beaulieu offers three large primary suites, each designed for ultimate comfort and privacy. Finished in soft tones and Italian tumbled marble, the bedrooms open to their own private terraces with either a garden or ocean view. Each suite features an elegant en-suite bathroom with panoramic sea views, creating a sense of calm and connection to the outdoors. With plush bedding, natural textures, and thoughtful details, the bedrooms offer the perfect retreat after a day in the sun.

Outdoors

The heart of Beaulieu is its remarkable 50′ x 20′ heated pool, one of the largest private pools on the island.
