    Hemmingway House is a beautiful coral stone plantation-style house designed by architect Larry Warren. This home is ideal for a large family or friends looking for a private beachfront retreat with modern amenities. This luxury 2 story villa features ceiling fans and air conditioning throughout.

    The villa’s ground floor comprises a beautiful indoor/outdoor living-dining room that opens onto the wrap-around ocean-view terrace, the ocean-facing veranda offers an alfresco dining area.

    The state-of-the-art fully equipped kitchen includes a professional Wolf range and oven; a Miele microwave and double oven; an ice maker, a Subzero double-door fridge, a dishwasher, and a walk-in pantry. Adjoining the kitchen is a fully equipped bar connecting to the living room featuring two separate wine coolers that can keep different wines at appropriate temperatures; a second ice maker as well as a butler’s sink.

    Hemingway House is located between the tranquil Gibbes Beach and the popular Mullins Beach, a unique vantage point with Mullins Bay to the north, and the glistening, vast ocean directly in front.   Hemingway House is set on a stunning white sand beach, nestled between the quiet serenity of Gibbes Beach and the vibrant of Mullins Beach – home to Barbados’ newest beachfront eatery – Sea Shed for a mouthwatering selection of “Sea to Slate” offerings prepared by renowned chef Jeremy Dupire, this hotspot is just moments from Hemingway House.

    The Bedrooms

    The ground floor has the “garden bedroom”, which overlooks the pool with a fully marbled ensuite, a powder room, and a terrace. The 1st floor houses the remaining 3 bedrooms. The primary bedroom suite extends along the entire sea-facing side of the home and features a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, marble floors, a walk-in dressing room, and a separate study. The spacious bedroom features hardwood floors and opens onto a private wrap-around balcony with ocean, bay, and pool views with comfortable lounge chairs. The perfect spot to unwind and watch the sunset in the evening.

    The 2nd bedroom has a walk-in dressing room and opens onto a balcony overlooking the bay, pool, and garden below. The bedroom’s large ensuite has a shower and bathtub as well as his-and-hers vanity, and marble floor.

    The third bedroom opens onto the balcony with views of the pool and garden and has an ensuite with his-and-hers vanity and a walk-in shower room. All 4 bedrooms have televisions and Sonos sound.


    The beautifully designed outdoor area includes an oceanfront gazebo with a marble dining table set within the lush tropical gardens, a perfect location to enjoy outdoor dining. The lagoon pool has a beautiful rock backdrop from which Bougainvilleas cascade.

    The Staff 

    There is a laundry area off the kitchen as well as staff quarters on the outside of the property. The professional team of staff includes a housekeeper, a launderer, a chef, and 12-hour security.
