From the moment you arrive, Villa Libellule feels like a retreat from the everyday. A gated entrance opens to a gently sloping driveway lined with tropical gardens. As you ascend, the lush greenery is paired with a sweeping view over the lagoon, setting the tone for the remarkable panoramas that define this home. At the crest, the main entrance is revealed with the glittering sea stretching beyond. The property has been thoughtfully planned to make the most of its surroundings, with each area offering either a view of the lagoon or the ocean, and in many places, both.

Villa Libellule is particularly well suited to families with older children or groups of friends traveling together. Though tucked away in the exclusive Terres Basses community, Villa Libellule remains conveniently close to many of the island’s highlights. On the French side, guests will find excellent restaurants, a gourmet bakery, and a well-stocked grocery store within easy reach. Just across the Dutch border, the village of Maho offers lively casinos and bars, while the marina at Porto Cupecoy features upscale dining and shopping. Princess Juliana International Airport is only a 15-minute drive, making arrival and departure smooth and stress-free.

The Bedrooms

Villa Libellule has five bedrooms, each designed with privacy and comfort in mind. The rooms are separate from the main living areas and accessed externally, following the natural slope of the property.

On the main level are two bedrooms, including the brand-new primary suite. With soft beige and white décor, generous closet space, and its own private terrace overlooking the lagoon and gardens, this room is a serene escape. Its en-suite bathroom is equally luxurious, with a glass-walled shower, double vanities, and a separate toilet and bidet. Next to it sits a twin bedroom decorated in soothing mint green tones, also with its own en-suite bathroom and a view across the gardens.

A few steps below the main level are two more bedrooms, both with king-size beds. One features a lively jungle-inspired design, while the other adopts a cool marine blue and seashell theme. Each has a small terrace, a walk-in closet, and an en-suite bathroom with open slate-grey tiled showers.

The fifth bedroom is located on a lower level. Furnished with a king-size bed, it includes a terrace with garden views and an en-suite bathroom with an open shower. Like the others, it is air-conditioned, fitted with a ceiling fan, and equipped with a Smart TV. The villa’s arrangement of multiple primary-quality suites ensures that every guest enjoys both comfort and independence.

Indoors

At the heart of Villa Libellule is a grand living space with high ceilings and a traditional Caribbean feel. The room is lined with wooden shutters that let in cooling trade winds from the sea, while limestone flooring keeps the space naturally cool. Several ceiling fans add to the refreshing atmosphere. This large space is comfortably furnished with seating areas and a dining table, making it the ideal place to gather during the day or retreat from the sun. Shuttered doors at the far end open onto a sea-facing terrace, where the view stretches across the Caribbean to Anguilla in the distance.

The kitchen is another highlight. Spacious and light-filled, it features warm wood cabinetry, a central island, and premium Bosch appliances, including two large refrigerators, an oven, and a microwave, alongside a Siemens gas cooktop. From here, a stone pathway winds through cashew trees to a charming octagonal breakfast gazebo with stunning views over the sea and Baie Rouge below.

Outdoors

The outdoor living spaces at Villa Libellule are every bit as impressive as the interiors. At the top of the property, next to the driveway, lies the pool house. This area features a large pool with spectacular views over the lagoon, making it a wonderful spot to watch the sun set each evening. A covered wet bar with a refrigerator, surround sound system, and bathroom with shower ensures that the pool area is as convenient as it is beautiful.

Closer to the main house, the seafront terrace provides a space for al fresco dining and relaxed lounging, all framed by the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea. The private pathway down to Baie Rouge means the beach is always close at hand, giving guests the best of both elevated views and direct seaside access.
