Beautiful Mandalay is a recently refurbished five-bedroom villa set into the hillside of the exclusive Terres Basses residential enclave on the French side of St. Martin. Designed to capture sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea and the stunning sunsets of nearby Plum Bay, the villa offers a refined yet relaxed setting for a luxurious island stay. Contemporary interiors, generous outdoor spaces, and a large private pool combine to create a home that feels both elegant and welcoming. Mandalay is available to rent as either a four- or five-bedroom villa, making it well-suited to families or groups of friends.

The Location

Mandalay is situated in Terres Basses, one of St. Martin’s most prestigious and secure neighbourhoods, renowned for its spacious villas, natural surroundings, and tranquil atmosphere. The villa enjoys a hillside position that offers both privacy and uninterrupted sea views. The unspoilt sands of Plum Bay are within walking distance, allowing guests to enjoy one of the island’s most scenic and peaceful beaches with ease. While the setting feels private and secluded, fine dining, shopping, and nightlife are all within easy reach by car.

The Bedrooms

The villa features five stylish bedrooms, each decorated in a calm, contemporary palette using natural fabrics and clean, monochromatic tones. All bedrooms include en-suite bathrooms finished in beige and black natural stone, creating a modern yet timeless feel. Large smart TVs are fitted in every bedroom, and the primary bedroom also includes a spacious walk-in closet.

All bedrooms are accessible from inside the villa, ensuring comfort and convenience. The primary bedroom and a second bedroom also benefit from direct access to the pool terrace, allowing guests to step outside easily and enjoy the outdoor living areas at any time of day.

Indoors

From the moment you enter Mandalay, the villa’s thoughtful design is clear. The entrance doors open into a bright reception area framed by glass walls and an ornamental garden, setting the tone for the modern elegance found throughout the home. This leads into the L-shaped main living space, which enjoys beautiful views over the pool and the sea beyond.

The living room is furnished in cooling shades of grey and white, with contemporary natural-wood furniture, a comfortable linen sofa, and a large Samsung Smart TV. Adjacent to the living area is the indoor dining space, featuring a large table that comfortably seats ten guests.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with Bosch and Smeg appliances, long stone countertops, and ample workspace. Additional storage and a second refrigerator are located to the rear of the kitchen. Glass sliding doors lead to a small, intimate outdoor terrace that is ideal for breakfast or brunch in the fresh air. Covered terraces extending from the living room offer further space for outdoor dining, lounging, and enjoying the Caribbean sunsets.

Outdoors

Steps from the covered terrace lead down to the pool area, where the L-shaped pool becomes a focal point of the villa’s outdoor living. The pool features both steps and a gently sloping, shallow beach-style entry, making it suitable for guests of all ages. Surrounding the pool are potted palms, ornamental rock features, and flowering cactus gardens that add colour and texture to the space.

A hexagonal gazebo near the pool provides additional shaded seating, perfect for relaxing with a book or enjoying a quiet moment during the day. The villa’s outdoor terraces offer multiple areas for lounging and dining, all set against the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea.
