This property has been maintained to the most impeccable standard, keeping the original features and characteristics of this stately home; new features softly blend back in with the old-world charm. There is a study upstairs, a window overlooking the sea, and a perfect private space for writing and contemplation. This property is a true family home, perfect for all ages; children will be so busy with their treasure hunts in the garden that they’ll abandon their “devices” this holiday.
The Location
The location is close to Holetown, where you’ll discover high-end shopping and some of the island’s top restaurants. As well as cafes and high-end boutiques in the Limegrove shopping centre.

The Bedrooms
Up to 12 guests can be accommodated in this luxury beachfront villa with four bedrooms in the main house, all with en-suite bathrooms, and a separate 2-bedroom guest cottage on the grounds. The ground floor has two double ensuite bedrooms with original terrazzo flooring and a study/tv room complete with a computer and printer.
In true Messel style, the first floor is accessed by the exterior coral stone stairs to the primary suite and remaining bedrooms; they are all very spacious, airconditioned with ensuite bathrooms, and beautifully decorated with an upstairs terrace overlooking the sea. The cottage is set to the side of the property; it has two ensuite bedrooms, close enough to feel like part of the house but far enough away to allow the occupants some privacy. Perfect for multi-generational families. A small single bedroom is also available if guests travel with a Nanny.
Outdoors
The open living spaces continue through to the shaded vast outdoor lounging areas, well-shaded from the Barbados sun; even in a tropical downpour, you can continue enjoying your activities without moving. The outdoor space is expansive, and there are nooks, and private rooms dotted all over the property, whether you wish to sit privately and read a book, meditate on life or have an intimate romantic moment.
Walk from the lounging area across the soft grass to the loungers on the beach, where you can take a dip in the sea, bake in the sun, or choose to swim in the beautiful swimming pool. Enjoy lunch in the pagoda right by the sea and dinner in the formal dining pavilion by the lily pond with seating up to fourteen.
