The Villa

Moon Dance is an elegant six-bedroom private residence set within almost two acres of beautifully landscaped gardens in the heart of the prestigious Sandy Lane Estate on Barbados’ west coast. Built in 2006 to the owner’s specifications, the villa offers complete privacy, positioned at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac behind electric gates.

Facing west and overlooking the 8th hole of the renowned Sandy Lane golf course, Moon Dance combines contemporary interior design with spacious indoor and outdoor living areas. Natural tones are complemented by vibrant accents, creating a warm yet refined atmosphere that is ideal for large families or groups of friends seeking both comfort and privacy.

The Location

Moon Dance enjoys a prime setting within the Sandy Lane Estate, just a short walk down the 9th fairway past the Old Nine Clubhouse and tennis courts to the entrance of Sandy Lane Hotel and the Sandy Lane Property Owners Beach Facility. The villa is less than half a mile from the beach, making it easy to enjoy Barbados’ finest stretch of west coast sand.

Guests benefit from membership to the Sandy Lane Property Owners Beach Facility, which includes parking, restrooms, and complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas, with drinks and snacks available during peak seasons. The Bedrooms

The main house features four spacious double bedrooms, all air-conditioned with ceiling fans and en-suite bathrooms. Each bathroom includes both a bath and a separate shower.

The primary suite is particularly impressive, featuring a king-size Tempur four-poster bed, a private balcony, and a generous bathroom with a separate shower.

At the bottom of the garden sits a self-contained two-bedroom cottage, also fully air-conditioned. The cottage includes its own kitchen area and patio, offering additional privacy and flexibility for extended family members, teenagers, or guests who prefer a little more independence.

Indoors

The villa’s open-plan living and dining area is bright and welcoming, with seating for eight and direct access to the covered patio overlooking the pool and gardens. The spacious patio includes additional lounge seating and a 10–12 seat dining table, ideal for alfresco meals, while a separate poolside dining table seats six for more casual gatherings.

A fully equipped modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances makes entertaining effortless, and a separate TV room with satellite television and DVD player provides a comfortable space for relaxation. The entire residence is child-friendly, though children under six should be accompanied by a nanny or designated carer.

Outdoors

Outdoor living is central to the Moon Dance experience. The beautifully tiled Japanese mosaic swimming pool and adjacent plunge pool are surrounded by lush gardens and ample space for lounging in the sun.

Two gazebos enhance the pool area—one equipped with a bar and the other with bathroom and shower facilities—allowing guests to enjoy uninterrupted days by the pool in complete comfort.
